This is part one of a five part series that makes up A Farm for the Future. Rebecca Hosking explores how she will transition her family farm from conventional fossil fuel dependency to a more sustainable farming system in a post-peak oil world. This is a fine film. Sets up the problem of energy depletion nicely, even points out that organic farming will be subject to the same problems as conventional when it come to energy depletion. Great stuff on the health of soils: live vs dead growing mediums. Wish it had more on the pragmatic side regarding what exactly Forest Gardeners eat. Still I give it a thumbs up.
