"I do use the Tattler lids. They work just like the Jardin lids. You do need to simmer the lids and rings for about 15 minutes before canning with them. I think that is to slightly soften the lids, so that they pop down properly. I'm not sure…"

Sauerkraut for Beginners at Alison's house

Come learn the basics of making sauerkraut. Bring a small to medium cabbage and a clean, sturdy container (a quart jar will work well).You'll leave with a better understanding of fermentation, a helpful handout, and sauerkraut-in-the-making.
