What type of food preserving do you want to do with others?
Canning
What do you hope to achieve by joining IthaCan?
I have always wanted to learn to can and it really fits in with our values as a family, but I have no idea how to get started. I'd like to learn what supplies I need (and which ones are a waste of money) and how to get started. I want to make sure the food I can is safe when we eat it.
Do you have any expertise or resources that you can offer to the IthaCan community?
I know how to make really great, nutritious, delicious food with local ingredients, but I'm really a newbie at canning.
What is your favorite home-preserved food?
Tomatoes - me; Berries (my kids); Pesto - All of us!
