we have tons of basil (10 full plants or so) which still looks pretty good, although it is flowering.  there is supposed to be a frost sat. nite, so come and get it all you pesto-lovers!  i am done making pesto this year!  call me at 659-4366 to arrange pick-up.

Thanks for the heads up about the frost. It won't be our first but if it's predicted for the wider area, it will be our first hard one.

Another thought if you're just "over" pesto, you can chop the basil with onion and other herbs, little bit of vinegar, little bit of olive oil, and freeze in muffin pans (then transfer to bags.) The chunks are great for throwing into sauces and stuff as seasoning.
