Event Description

Hey everybody! I don't know about you, but I hate sitting on the sidelines of a parade, so when we watched the Danby Fun Day Parade this summer I thought, we need an IthaCan contingent!

No need to be a Danbyite, though I think Danby-ers should definitely represent! If we start planning now we can be Thee Highlight of the parade. Katie had an idea to build a Mason suit, we can carry the banner, maybe I'll have Baby Bob trained to pull a little cart by then? We could drive our tractors or pull a trailer with a canning set up on it? We could pass out IthaCan and home processing info sheets, etc etc!

Let's brainstorm here in the comments and come up with some ideas for participating. Are you with me?!

Comment by crowjoy on October 6, 2010 at 9:54am: Spent a lot of time driving in the last couple of weeks and kept thinking about how we could actually have a canning set up on a flat bed trailer. Probably not with real fire, though that would certainly make the parade!
